System information

On this page you can find detailed information about each solar system. This screen can be opened for any system that is located within your sensor range. Until that moment, the only information you can know about the system is its class, through the icon on the Starmap.

Each system can have a custom name, but you can change this name only once. Therefore who discovers the system the first, gets to name it. This act also counts as a system discovery and goes straight to the game statistics and it is one of the medal-awarded categories.

Detailed system analysis

First table displays basic system information that is important when deciding if to colonize it.

- Explorer of the system is the user that gives the system a name.
- Planetary living conditions determine how well the planet in this system supports life and will have direct impact on the birth rate of your colony. Habitability of the system can be improved by an advanced research into Terraforming technologies but the process itself is very costly and takes a while.
- Build space limit tells you how many buildings can be build in the colony.
- Raw resource deposits information of each type is determined by a six estimated levels (Depleted, Very poor, Poor, Moderate, Rich, Very rich).

All the system stats are randomly generated, so it is possible to find perfect system (to a degree, as there are min and max values set in place for each system type), or quite a bad one. For example: human player always starts a game in a system with yellow, main sequence star, but otherwise properties of the system are random, within the rules set for that system type.

System classification

Following table provides simple overview of all system classes and their aproximate qualities (5 = best, 0 = worst), with default spawn probability.

Local colony information

In case the system is already colonized, this information is displayed in the following table. You can find here information about the owner and current population, as well as link to a Colony overview of the colony in the system - just click on its name.

Local wormhole information

Once your research into Wormholes theory reaches required level, you will also be able to see information about local wormhole connections. This can be useful, as it allows you to peak one jump further from your current system, as this table also displays information about any colony on the other side of the wormhole, even when the other system is not within your sensor range. You will not be able to see Colony overview in that case, but at least you would know that the colony is there, who it belongs to and how large it is in terms of population.
